Toilet Training at Night Time

Review

A lot of babies tend to wake up countless times in the night due to wet nappies. This can legitimately be a nuisance to the mom because she can barely get a good night's sleep. There is therefore a need to start toilet training your baby at an early adequate age so that they can grow out of the habit in good time. Once a baby is independent from nappies and can do his own potty, you will find some relief because in the nighttime he will just do his potty without disturbing you much.

Training your child to do his toilet at night can only be efficient if he has already mastered how to do his potty during the day. It will require you not to punish the baby for bed wetting because being able to do his potty during the day does not automatically certify that they will not wet the bed.

You could start by taking note of the time the baby wets his nappy as he sleeps. Make it a habit to wake him up at nearby this time so that he can take a pee in the lavatory. With time, he will get used to the whole idea. After this you could let him sleep with his nappies on and then discover how many time he wakes up with a dry nappy. This will be a good indication that he is done with the toilet training.

In case your child finds it hard to go to the lavatory alone, encourage them to call you when they want to pee. an additional one idea is to have a potty in their bedroom, which he can make use of, and then you can both empty it first thing in the morning.
